Next up in our The Sound of Music Audition series, we have Mimi Greenberg. She is one of the finalists for the role of Marta.
It was a….
really a great experience so I enjoyed a lot about it. I love to audition for different productions but I liked most that I could share my voice with other people. Also I had a good time seeing my old friends from Oliver!
The most challenging thing was…
Seeing other people get eliminated. It was kind of scary and I got a little nervous.
To prepare…
I just made sure I got my rest and I wore warm clothes and drank a lot of raspberry tea so I didn’t get sick because it would affect my voice.
I will always remember that...
I met a lot of new people so I’ll definitely remember them all. I thought that it was cool to work with Jonny Bowles because he’s so nice and he is very professional. I’ll also remember how nice it felt to be a finalist and that I was proud of myself.
My top 3 auditioning tips are:
1. Try not to get too nervous and relax. You have to think of happy things like monkeys and oreos.
2. Make sure you try your best.
3. Have fun because if you’re not having fun then what’s the point?
Musicals that I would love to be in…
Into the Woods because I just watched it and I love the songs. I think it’s a great production. My favourite song right now is No One is Alone. I also like Les Miserables and would love to play Cosette or maybe Fantine when I’m older.
